Coco Robicheaux is way past colorful. This swampland mystic has been a fixture on the New Orleans music scene since way back when. The type of performer who could have remained unrecorded if it weren't for a small home-grown record label (Orleans) with a music lover at the helm (Carlo Ditta) who made it happen. And now, with some clever distribution for his first two albums, he's selling big in France and Germany, and has had two successful European tours. Coco's exotic spiritland music (dubbed "hippie voodoo blues" by Blues Revue Magazine) is indeed original stuff. His latest album, "Hoodo Party" is on Orleans Records.
